What is modernity: often see as the theory of set of ideas to explain what the modern world is, comprised of two different things: If people are making money, they won"t want to kill each other, they"ll be too distracted: world of liberalism, rational. Three schools of social thought: montesquieu, russeau, money will make you miserable, a world based upon "i want, i want, i want" will lead to disappointment, marx, durkheim.
