The idea whether choices are made freely or not is not something social psychologists often discuss. One possibility in decision-making is to add up the pros and cons and see what wins; this is not always what happens. It was only after she was caught that the significance of her actions began to dawn on her. This highlights that sometimes with the decisions we make, not every piece of information relevant is something that is on our minds when we make the decision. Going from a platonic relationship to something else, your behaviour changes. In species that require a lot of paternal input into parenting, females find a monogamous partner. When this is not the case, females tend to pick the alpha male in a non-exclusive relationship. Demonstration: set up a situation where human beings behave in a way that evolutionary psychologists would think that you would behave.
