Neural inhibition does always produce behavioral inhibition for example, a group of neurons may prevent me from putting my hand in the fire. If this activation fails to occur, people will at out their dreams: excitation of neurons that inhibit a behavior, suppresses that behavior. Autoreceptors do not control ion channels or affect the membrane potential but regulate internal factors, inhibitory and decreases the level of neurotransmitter release (on the post synaptic level) Some drugs can cause addiction if abused (e. g. cocaine, heroin) 11: an exogenous chemical that significantly alters the function of certain cells when taken is relatively low doses. Psychopharmacology is the study of the effects of drugs on the nervous system and behavior has to cross the blood-brain barrier for an effect to happen. Brain stimulation that activates a brain area to help patients mainly with motor conditions.
