Ennahda in tunisia, akp in turkey and chrisian democraic paries in europe: progressive: emphasises social jusice, human rights, economic development and redistribuion, support democracy and democraic consolidaion. They"re liberal or centre-let, were inluenced by the second vaican council. The chrisian democraic paries represented broad groups, some let some more rights. Some competed with socialists others worked with them. Do chrisian democraic paries fall under the progressive umbrella: naionalist: based in ethno-religious idenity, opposed to other religions/ethniciies, grassroots and miliia components are common. Oten funcion in democracies but have values (e. g. the propagaion of violence) that are anitheical to democracy. Bjp in india: fundamentalist: want to fuse state and society together and impose very strict religious vision on both. Totalising (seek to pursue ideology that is uncompromising, want to impose it on all in society) and ani-system (may win in a democraic elecion but ideologies are oten against democraic ideals because they"re uncompromising and not acceping of diference.
