A complete revolution is defined as an upheaval who uproots the para structure within the society. It"s relatively more difficult to uproot deep seat mechanism in society. A socialist revolution must overturn the class structure. To achieve a successful insurgency (defined as seizing power to your own), you need to have: coalition building among various classes and interest groups according to midlarsky and roberts 1985= strong analysis on a theoretical point of view). Nb: some of the best writings takes place during or immediately after it. If people don"t have access to land that represents a form of poverty for them because they don"t have other option to live. It is a result from the way people rearrange land. In mostly rural societies, land scarcity is a key form of inequality. It represents also a form of class polarization. And, the greater the polarization between classes, the more you get a zero-sum game (winner takes all) between them.
