How is law used to achieve goals in healthcare. Nosocomial infections: another term for healthcare-associated infection. Root of the word: nasokemeion / nosocomas / nasocomium: one who tends to the sick, looking at a hospital. We prefer to use the term: healthcare-associated infections there are clinics, old age homes, and long-term care services (possibly in your home) Background: these kinds of infections are amongst the highest causes of death in population. It is not present or incubating at admission need to contract it due to presence in hospital. Fungi + parasites (e. g. c. difficile/ e. colli) (e. g. hiv) This is a subject that has been talked about a lot in the recent years, because it is coming up often in the news. Not the subjet of healthcare, but rather the prevalence. There is an increase in the amount of literature associating new problems to exposure to healthcare.
