Exam covers all course material, but heavily emphasize material post- midterm. Questions are not tricky, should be straightforward. Some questions are free points, but others may be more challenging. Protests/challenges to questions can be made on the front page of exam. In the past the class average for the final is in the b+ range. Review session prior to exam and viewing session after exam. Exam worth 60% of final grade. Part 1: mechanisms that initiate immune response and how these mechanisms can go wrong. Targeting and harnessing the immune system in immunotherapy of inflammatory diseases. Applying immunotherapy in context of cancer. Role in 2 stages of disease: Cardiovascular disease atherosclerosis immune mediated disease.
