A continuous cable of length 4m is wrapped about the small pulleys at a,b,c and d (neglect their size). The springs are at rest when d=2 m. Determine the mass of each block when d=1 m. This platform weighs 1500 lbs and is attached to the ceiling of a machine shop. Submit a picture of an object, or part of an object subjected to a concurrent set of forces. You can take the picture yourself or grab it from internet. The goal is to illustrate the use of the free body diagram. I will show the best 2-3 examples in class.
