Laozi and zhuangzi , two founders of daoism: laozi: claimed to be author of daodejing/tao te ching. Gatekeeper asked him to write down his wisdom, which became the daodejing. Arriving in the west, laozi taught daoism, where it was called buddhism (i. e. this legend teaches that daoism is superior to buddhism: zhuangzi: author of zhuangzi. Was zhuangzi dreaming that he was a buterly, or was the buterly dreaming that it was. The schools: confucianism , daoism/taoism , legalism , logicians , mohists , yin-yang and five forces , others. 1: all schools claimed heritage in the zhou dynasty but just because the founder lived at that ime, it didn"t mean there was a school; schools were created centuries later. Zhuangzi criicises confucius a lot, but daoist followers might also abide by confucianism.
