COMP 273 Lecture Notes - Lecture 7: Readwrite, And Gate, Or Gate

61 views8 pages

Document Summary

It has two inputs, a s et and a r eset. Want to be able to write an address. Want to be able to say read or write. Want it to by in sync with everything else (clock). Our solution is making a gate which acts as a lock. The and gates prevent data from coming in and going out (when we don"t want it to). We also wanted to send it into each of the gates, so everyone is in sync. Though we would want to put in some not gates so that the same gates aren"t all being opened at once (the clock sends out a 1 or a 0). To solve the read/write thing, there is a ~magical place~ where a wire comes out. It will output a 1 for read and a 0 for write. This wire is split into two parts, dealing with either input or output (need to use the not gate" to adjust).
