What are we aiming to get in laying out it"s ideology: notion of value laden interactions. We can look at the individual vs. the societal, see the ways in which they interact in a dynamic with dissonance/agreements. We are making a distinction here; there is at one hand the hierarchical notions of culture (power, regulators of ideology and so on). In between we consider ethos; a consideration between thought and action (means and ends). Marx says ideology is like the retina of the eye (an in grained of vision). Conditions to both that who practices and that who is practiced on.
