In many ways, it is very promoted by youth that is middle class. Through logic of neoliberalism, subjects of states become viewed in essentialist way for their economic potential: counter-narrative to crisis narratives, opposite of crisis narrative (lack of opportunities seen as leading to political unrest, here: youth as economic potential. Informal economy and african youth: youtube video shows a series of people who work in the informal sector benefits. Informal economy cannot be seen only due to neoliberalism (cid:523)(cid:498)unemployed(cid:499)(cid:524), they don"t pay taxes, no access to medical care, no access to state.
