Lipidosis is more common in cells that metabolite more lipids, as they already have more lipids in them (hepatocytes, myocytes) Cell swelling: more water (will stain more under microscope, accumulation of lipids, ribosomes detach from er, mitochondria swell, organelles start to fuse. At this stage the cell can still reverse back and be normal again: you know this because the condensation of the chromatin is quite normal. The condensation of the nucleus can be correlated with lower ph.
