It would be impossible to decide when the right year would be to end the reformation. Both within and outside of the institutional church: the later reformation. The reformation cannot be solely constrained to the 16th century. A number of major protestant sects today didn"t exist until much later. This is the case with many methodist, baptist and pentecostal groups: the core of the reformation. Revolt of luther and its development by zwingli and calvin. Focusing on the 15th and 16th centuries make sense: the 17th century. The 30 years war is set in the context of the centuries long ottoman advance. Between 1453 and 1520, the ottomans conquered the balkans, greece, egypt, and the near eastern holy land: suleyman the magnificient. By the end of his reign, the sultan caliph in constantinople was recognized also in hungary, Mesopotamia, persia and the rest of north africa: siege of viena.
