It consisted in a double vision of both the humanity of christ and of the virgin mary both without disctinction of members. This helped him understand the reality of christ"s human nature: authority beyond scripture. As ignatius experienced these mystical insights by way of contemplation. He came to realize that there was a spiritual, traditional, authority beyond scripture. Against the reformers, he claimed an authoritative access to the spirit: the fifth point. Of his journey then ignatius experienced a culminating illumination. This was not pinned down to any specific doctrine.
