The cone-shaped heart is relatively small, roughly the same size as a closed fist, about 5 inches long, 2. 5 inches wide at its broadest point, and 2. 5 inches thick. It averages 250 g in adult females and 300 g in adult males: surface projection of the heart: About 2/3 of the heart lies to the left of the bod(cid:455)"s (cid:373)idli(cid:374)e.
