Leadership: a critical function of management: entrepreneur, allocates resources, negotiator, trouble-shooter. Leadership is a function of all management. Managers need to demonstrate leadership because they are responsible for attaining goals and keeping employees committed to goals. Skills: sets of actions performed that lead to valued outcomes.
