His brother was a war hero who had been killed in normandy a year before. Took almost two months to catch the suspect. Public was clamoring for information and buying newspapers like never before. The tone about the suspects was described as a brute, pervert and degenerate. Police give info on what type of person they suspect. Rounding up people they know who are homosexuals. Media contributes to it but doesn"t and same with the public. Sociologists who study moral panics, stanley cohen has studied it.
