Document Summary

Week 4 objectives- nursing process& roy adaptation model: discuss priority setting. Goal: less specific, not necessarily completely dependant of the nurse (eg. collaboration of other health professionals) Expected outcomes: specific, nurses could potentially control through nursing. Requires critical thinking skills, being able to look at the situation and determine if this is in the best interest of the client, considering all the outcomes. Discuss implementation and evaluation, relate this to critical thinking. Nursing care is implemented based on the nursing care plan, in order to develop a nursing care plan, the nurse must use their critical thinking skills to make sure the client is undergoing the appropriate care plan. As stated previously, the evaluation process involves judgement of the nursing interventions and how well the results are, how well the client is doing/how effective your nursing plan is.
