The professor emphasized herbert mead"s path of development: Girls are more likely to play with barbie dolls, have a dress up party, spend time with their mothers in the bathroom; girls always wear pink. Boys are more active with sports; boys always wear blue. Men are expected to be successful whereas the woman is supposed to stay home and do more home things. When kids are around 4 to 10 years old, they don"t really have a choice. From where i was raised, from kindergarten, boys and girls wore different uniforms. The first question doesn"t really apply to our generation because we are moving away from those gender stereotypes.
