We must understand how tradiions view ime. Linear view of ime in monotheisic tradiions: creaion by god: deiniive beginning of ime, adam and eve, moses receives the law, birth of jesus, revelaion to the prophet mohammed, end of ime and god as judge. Cyclical view of ime: creaion destrucion creaion destrucion , evoluion dissoluion . Greek tradiions broke ime into ages: ex. Indians used the roll of the dice to understand ime: they were big gamblers, the beginning of ime was the age of 4. A 4 was a winning number in dice: dissolves unil the age of 1. We are now in the age of 1 kaliyuga": the cycle of ime starts again every 4, 320, 000, 000 years. Our view of ime is related to the view of the person: one lifeime in monotheisic tradiions. Birth childhood youth adulthood old age death. Resurrecion is not considered a new human lifeime: many lifeimes in eastern tradiions.
