Born into an important tribe that"s powerful but wasn"t as powerful as before- qurash. They were seen as leaders in arabian society. There were hunafa/ hanifs which is a type of individual. Abraham was a hanif and a muslim. They didn"t partake in culture and times of prehistoric arabs. Meccan society was largely like today"s democratic society because you could believe whatever you like but do not challenge us. Khadija was his wife and was much older than him. He was 25 when he got married. And she proposed to him and he loved her. In the nikkah ceremony the woman puts forth the proposal.
