Freud and conversion hysteria: conversion hysteria is when you have an unconscious conflict in your mind that creates a physical disturbance. This physical disturbance symbolizes or represents the repressed psychological conflict: patient converts the conflict into a symptom via the voluntary nervous system, then he or she becomes relatively free of the anxiety the conflict would otherwise produce. Behavioural medicine: observable and testable interventions for dealing with health and illness, developing and applying knowledge and techniques to prevent, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate. Biomedical model: doctors who only looks at your symptoms, not mental issues and stress related things.
