Cl o from 5 to 7 (agn s varda, 1962). A french new wave (1956-1962) film by this modernist movement"s only major female film director. Also, many small digressions when we hear or concentrate on people around the main character and her walk through paris. A feminine and feminist perspective and subjectivity. Cl o is a rounded, complex character, going through many changes in the short period of the narrative. She is thrown out of her everyday life and experiences life differently. The film focuses on waiting, what cl o does when she is waiting for the answer whether she has cancer or not. It is not focusing on the most dramatic moments, like a typical classical narrated film, but shows what came before or after the dramatic moments. It also just ends - abruptly, surprisingly, as if time just have run out - without closure. An important theme in the film is time.
