Document Summary

Introduce species: a species translocated by humans into an environment beyond its natural dispersal limits. Only a majority of introduced species become invasive but their impact is major. Biological invasions are the second most cause of extinction. It has cost about 137 billion dollars (u. s) to try and fix the damage they caused. Competition exclusion is when an invasive species out numbers/ forces one species moves to a different part of the environment which (in some cases) causes its reproduction to slow down. An introduced species can cause the other species in the same environment or surrounding environments to become endangered or extinct. (hence how it is the second most cause of extinction ie lake victoria in africa) The invasive species may be harbouring a parasite. When the species is introduced to the new environment the parasite is as well. this means that the parasite can now spread to all of the other animals in the environment.
