Document Summary

Left: thinking, verbal, logical, analytical, high spatial frequency. Damage to one side of the brain results in problems with that side and not the other. Hemispheres are contralaterally organized (each hemisphere processes information from the opposite side (ear, visual field, hand etc. ) Hemispheres are connected by the corpus callosum. Information from left visual field is seen by both eyes, but then goes to the right hemisphere. Information from the right visual field is seen by both eyes, but then goes to the left hemisphere. Then travels to other hemisphere via corpus callosum. By covering the right eye with a patch, the left brain activity is slowed significantly and causes your brain to send more information through the nerves between the hemispheres myth. Eye patch therapy is an easy way to exercise your brain and strengthen the connection between the hemispheres myth. Can use split-brain patients who have unconnected left and right hemispheres (severed corpus callosum)
