Research study that recruits published literature based on inclusion/exclusion criteria. Squares are sized based on the number of participants (weight of the study) Intention to treat analysis: analyze what is randomized. *fairest thing to do is to measure the data as if everyone stayed in the group they were randomized to. Intention to treat (itt) vs. per protocol analysis. As if all patients finished the trial - includes data from patients who dropped out. Recommended method in superiority trials to avoid bias. Analysis based on data collected only from patients who complete entire trial on the treatment they were originally randomized. Set of statistical techniques used to analyze data sets with more than one variable. Logistic regression: p of dependant variable when independent changes. Survival analysis: looking at event rate over time. *probability that girls will have had first period by a certain age. Works best when we want to compare population data.
