Hi for those of you who don"t knoww me my name is jason and my presentation today will be on the applications of steel in welding. Lets start off by describing what welding is. Welding is defined as joining together 2 metal surfaces by heating or conducting with a welder. it is the only way of joining two or more pieces of metal to make them act as a single piece. It is said that 50% of the gross national product of canada is related to welding in one way or another. Nearly everything we use in our daily life is welded or made by equipment that is welded. Welders help build metal products from the building we are in now to the chairs you are sitting in while enjoying this presentation . They help build millions of products ranging from oil drilling rigs to automobiles.
