Document Summary
Government surveillance has many benefits that could help progress a country however, it is a continuous controversial debate. Their are many issues that can be argued both for and against government surveillance. Some of them being for prevention of criminal acts, loss of privacy, and oppression from the government which could alternatively lead to increased public safety. This essay will mainly focus on the benefits of government surveillance and how it can benefit civilians who are being watched for their own safety. Mass surveillance has many benefits and can drastically create a huge reduction in crime. For example, today their is surveillance that prevents crimes of violence captured by people on film. These types of crimes filmed on camera can be used to light up surveillance spots that maybe be dark spots for investigations. If we had detailed surveillance all over the streets of cities, criminals would think again before committing crimes that could be easily detected.
