The outlaw hero (a subtype of the cowboy hero) Tonto and the lone ranger from 1915 now. The lone ranger in 2013 (example of presentation) Cultural object: something made by humans/ we examine cultural objects to theorize what we can understand about the culture they come form. The white hat, the horseshoe but also the book, films, tv shows are all cultural objects embedded with information about the western genre and its meanings. The milieu of the university student is the lecture hall, the library, the seminar room places where you find someone. Ideology / dominant ideology: ideas that characterize the thinking of a group or nation. First time real action and movement was shown in a film fight scenes with real stunts. This genre has come into being when women were given the right to vote, and after the slave trade was abolished. The western is significant to show how it has been mobilized using technology.
