Wrote a book called tough guise (disguise + guys = guise) Boys learn to stick to their gender identity or they will be seen as pussy"s" or weak". Boys are encouraged by society to distance themselves from caring. Boys must put on a tough guise", make themselves appear tough so they aren"t a target.
