The false positive results are due to bat. Measured glucose uptake rates estimated using f-fdg in bat and normal white adipose tissue (wat) of 5 human subjects. Western blot detection of ucp1 protein in tissue biopsies from bat, but not wat, of human subjects. Conclusion: adult humans really do have bat cells. But, proportionally less and more widely distributed than in rodents or human babies. Billfish have eye cells that have fibres that cycle through calcium and not protons. They have a calcium leak and atp cycling in atp. A lot of heat can be generated in the eye. The fish can move the eye and think better when they dive for their prey and go through rapid temperature changes. High protein folding de novo failure- only about <20% actually make it to function. In heat shock the protein can be misfolded even after folding has stopped.
