Cubical: shaped like cubes or hexagon, function in either secretion or absorption. Columnar: like column, protect underlying tissues , specialized for secretion and absorption. Transitional: change shape from squamous t cubical, organs like the bladder ( this allows it to stretch to hold urine) Epithelia tissues: covering and lining epithelium: simple squamous epithelium : flat cell resemble a tiled floor lines the cardio and lymph system ( knows as endothelium here endo=within and helium=covering).
