Intellectual property: referring to intangible property created by the intellect or mind. Berne convention 1886 - if you have copyright in your own country, you can enforce it into another country. Gives ownership to the "work" or original expression of the creative idea, not idea itself. Originality not always an element of copyright material. Infringement of copyright occurs when someone infringes by copying or exercising any of these rights without permission. Once copyright expires, it is in the public domain. Some works have a complex bundles of copyrights - a broadcast of a performance or song.
