Training quantity & quality is a critical mechanism to explain expert. Australian experts & non-experts in netball & field-hockey. Dp = coach instruction (1-1 work with coach), Goal-orientated organized team practice: experts practiced more in dp activity, actual game-speed match-play essential for perceptual & execution practice. Hours: experts slowly increase accumulation of intensity of practice over time. Deliberate play as a pre-cursor to deliberate practice: need to do early specialized training to become elite.
