Document Summary
When someone prizes us just as we are, he or she confirms our existence. Sometimes, she feels like she has been lying to everyone all this time. Only sometimes; most of the time distractions are enough. That kept the creeping feeling of fraud at bay for at least a week. To the outside world - to her friends, family, teachers, shopkeepers and the elderly neighbour whose dog she walked sometimes - she was perfectly normal thank you very much. She had shiny brown hair and light eyes and a perpetually amused smile. Her friends thought she was funny, her teachers thought she was clever (sometimes too much) and her mother thought she was a little princess whose feet never touched the ground. Whenever there was only herself for company, like in the moments laying in bed before sleep, she began to think. And that was a very dangerous thing to do.
