Sport: elite athletes, coaches, etc, competitive edge, focus on performance, non health* (not to loose weight etc. ) Just having someone to talk to can be very important: plan for life after being an elite athlete. Injury prevention - stress: talent id and talent development, preventing burnout, overtraining and staleness, clinical issues alongside sport/exercise, parenting and coaching strategies, working alongside clinical psychologists. Staying ethical: ethical marketing of one"s service, managing expectations of clients, maintaining strict confidentiality, keeping appropriate records, working within competencies, remaining evidence-based. The process wherein on course of action (or intervention or treatment) is selected from many possible alternatives. Issues related to exercise behaviour: participation in regular activity is low, adoption vs adherence, noncompliant behaviour. Improved psychological/emotional health: enhanced physical appearance, many more e. g. how it feels. Describe the role of sport and exercise psychologist and explain the difference in their roles in society.
