Document Summary

Does not take cost of people into account. Bureaucratic management: lots of competition, things that would otherwise be found surprising regarding human behaviour is prominent in bureaucratic organisations. Need to be taken care of in order e. g. esteem needs cannot be catered to if safety needs have not been previously. All employee needs need to be attended to to ensure employees are satisfied with their work environment and the work they do. Management science describes the application of mathematical techniques to analyse and solve management problems. Mathematical forecasting makes future projections that are useful in the planning process. Inventory modelling helps control inventories by mathematically establishing how much to order and when. Look at all management theories developed throughout history. Tries to match managerial responses with the problems and opportunities specific to different settings, particularly those posed by individual and environmental differences.
