Document Summary
Corporate social responsibility: international businesses have been demonstrated to have dramatic influences in a range of areas. Global companies (agents of globalization) are the front-line targets of critics who blame them for misconduct in a vast array of domains, ranging from global warming, pollution, corruption, and encroachments on human rights, child labour and poor citizenship. Four main categories of social and ethical issues facing global companies: 1970 milton friedman (wrote in new york ti(cid:373)es(cid:895): (cid:858)the so(cid:272)ial respo(cid:374)si(cid:271)ilit(cid:455) of (cid:271)usi(cid:374)ess is to i(cid:374)(cid:272)rease its profits(cid:859). This extreme line of thinking has been strongly challenged. Today (cid:858)the debate is no longer whether to make substantial commitments to csr but how?
