Those species are unclean, which are imperfect members of their class, or whose class itself confounds the general scheme of the world. Morality of disgust: disgust can amplify moral judgements, especially to perceived violations of purity , behaviours are judged more negatively under hypnotically induced disgust and disgusting smells. Stigma: against immigrants, infectious disease carriers, gay people, obese people, mentally ill and the elderly.
