Rise of Romantic Poetry
• 1776 – revolution – US – colonies rise
• 1783 – conclude peace in Paris

• 3rd estate – represents people – breaks away to form national assembly
• Bastille – liberation of prisoners 1789 – symbolic attack

associated with aspects of monarchal tyranny
