Heterosexism: systems of though/ behaviour that reinforce sex/ gender/ sexuality binaries thereby reinforcing sexist and limiting ideas about women (or vice versa) Different in a way that makes a difference. Transgression & difference frequently implicated in instances of violence. Key element in how those instances of violence become interpreted & Anti-homophobic (e. g. gay liberation movement), anti-heteronormative, sex-positive, challenging gender binaries, questioning feminist politics based around stable categories of social recognition.
