Week 12 Lecture: Ethics
• Complaints from clients about psychs:
o Confidentiality
o Sexual relationships – boundaries
o Incompetent services/psychologists

• Complaint goes to a tribunal – proceedings are recorded and transcribed and
are made publicly available on the internet
Registration & APS membership –
• Psychologists must be registered to practice and use the title
• Psychologists do not need to be a member of the APS
