The register may be maintained in or upon any medium or combination of mediums capable of having information recorded in or upon it or them. A folio is elaborated upon in rpa, s 32(1). It is the document which describes the land, by recording: Main record of information that the registrar must keep, it is a document of the land that includes; A description of the estate or interest in the land (e. g. fee simple, life estate); A description of the proprietor of the estate; Particulars of all other estates and interests affecting the land: leases, mortgages, easements. The certificate of title is a document that provides details of interests that are recorded in the register relating to a parcel of land. It is a copy of the folio of the register.
