some business function
- A business process is a system.

Difference between data and info
DATA: Raw material. Needs to be processed before turning into info
INFO: Data that has been processed
Characteristics of Good Info
Accurate
- Correct and complete
- Crucial for management

- Produced in time for intended use
Relevant
- Context and subject
Just barely sufficient
- Not too much info
Worth its cost
