First part proximal to the insertion of pectoralis major. Second part posterior to pectoralis minor. Third part distal to the pectoralis minor. 1st part = superior thoracic supplies med/ant axilla walls. 2nd part = thoraco-acromial pectoral, deltoid, clavicular and acromial branches. 2nd part= lateral thoracic supplies med/ant axilla walls and female breast. 3rd part= subscapular supplies the post axilla wall and post scapular region: divides into circumflex scapular artery, thoracodorsal artery. Humeral nutrient artery passes into a foramen on & anteromedial surface of the humeral shaft. Radial and middle collateral arteries branches of profunda brachii.
