Includes sudoriferous (sweat), sebaceous (oil), mucous and digestive glands. Endocrine secrete hormones into the interstitial fluid surrounding the secretory cells rather than into ducts. From the interstitial fluid, hormones diffuse into blood capillaries and blood carries them to target cells throughout the body.
