Green Event: incorporates environmental considerations to minimize its negative impact of the environment
Measuring our Impact: Ecological footprint OR Carbon footprint
Policy for a Green Event:
• Sustainability Management System
• Accredited and/or audited systems
• Commitment to measure their impact on the environment for the event
• An outline of achievable and sustainable targets
• Suppliers to have the same responsibilities and systems
• Commitment from all staff towards these policies and help/training to implement them
Standard 1: requirements for a sustainable event management system to ensure an enduring and balanced
approach to economic activity, environmental responsibility and social progress relating to events
Standard 2: requires organisations to identify and understand the effects that their activities have on the
environment, on society and on the economy both within the organisation and the wider economy; and put
measures in place to minimise the negative effects
