Person factors: diagnosis- disorder/ disability/ delay, other biological factors- prenatal, peri or post-natal; low birth weight; failure to thrive; ill health. Environmental factors: child abuse/ neglect; mental health or illness of parent(s) Task needs adapting or grading: different occupation required. Occupational roles: dynamic, development and age appropriate, contribute to skill development, range from informal to formal, whose perspective about role importance, who influences role development/ participation, gain status through roles- internalise a sense of self.
