What level of risk are patients who are diagnosed with cancer: high. Important that we also follow acsm absolute and relative contraindication for healthy populations. Cancer specific absolute contraindications: fever, feeling unwell (not nausea etc, blood counts, low blood pressure with associated symptoms, abnormal irregular heartrate angina. Increased fatigue levels: postural hypotension, nausea, shortness of breath without exertion, nadir (lowest point of their blood cells count during their chemotherapy/radiotherapy treatment, pain. Advise/assess: dysponea, performance status, palmer plantar syndrome, diarrohea, constipation, urinary disorders, nausea, vomiting, oral/stomatitis, fever (not on chemotherapy) Infection: anorexia, pain, confusion/cognitive disturbance, fatigue, rash, bleeding, neurosensory / motor, bruising, ocular/eye problems, extravasation, monitor physiologic responses in the immunosuppressed population . Pulse oximetry if required: watch for early signs of cardiopulmonary complications of cancer treatments. Do not to exercise within two hours of chemotherapy or radiation therapy as increases in circulation may increase the effects of the treatments (gerber, 2000): whilst these are changing the risks are still high.
